Our till receipts hold lots of information about the products you've bought and about the transaction and payment method.
We always recommend our customers keep their receipts just in-case you ever need to return an item, as they show us when, how much and how you paid for your item.
There are letter indicators below which may help explain the item you've bought.
D - VAT not payable (eg grocery, fresh food, children's wear)
V - VAT payable (eg confectionary, snacks, BWS, GM)
M - VAT payable (eg kiosk/tobacco)
No Indicator - VAT not payable (postage stamps, lottery)
An * (asterix) and repeated entry or a product description and price on the till receipt indicates a printer error (you have not been charged twice).
The product descriptions might not always be the full product name you are used to due to the space we have available. If you are unsure about an item on your receipt please speak with a colleague who will be happy to confirm any details needed.
